Hello, I'm Julia — mama of two, memory-keeper, and your local newborn and family photographer.

I run a cosy, calm studio in Monton, where I specialise in capturing life’s most precious moments: newborn portraits, pregnancy sessions, family photography, and cake smashes. With easy access and free parking, I welcome families from Manchester, Stockport, Cheshire, and across the North West.

Having little ones of my own, I know how fast the days fly by — and how deeply we cherish every stage of their journey. My goal is to preserve those fleeting moments with beautiful, natural photography you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

From the first enquiry to the final artwork, I’ve curated a luxury experience that’s completely relaxed and stress-free. I’ll guide you every step of the way, so you can simply enjoy the moment.

I believe in keeping things simple and real. No awkward posing, no forced smiles — just your baby and your family, exactly as you are right now.

It’s the tiny details — the stretch of a newborn’s fingers, the way your toddler fits into your arms, the little in-between glances — that tell your story. And that’s what I love to capture.

I had a wonderful experience with Julia for a newborn shoot. No gimmicks or fuss, just great photography in a really tasteful and calming environment.
My baby was 16 days old at the time of the shoot and Julia was so gentle and patient with him when he decided to be more awake than he’d ever been before - and the images are just lovely and I will treasure them forever.

Julia is a fabulous photographer and we are so pleased with the photos that we have received. Julia was so kind, calm and accommodating. What was supposed to be a mamma and baby shoot turned into a whole family affair and that didn’t phase her at all. Whilst my two-year-old refused to have her hair done and went through a whole selection of snacks provided by Julia in the background, Julia still managed to do her magic and take some amazing shots that we will treasure of the siblings and the whole family. We really loved that we got to view the gallery at home rather than being pressured into making decisions on the spot as some photographers do and can put us off. We never felt any pressure and it allowed us to go back and forth with our decisions regarding our favourites (we loved them all so this was hard) and appreciate the quality of her work. Julia was always quick to reply to our queries and this was really helpful in the planning of the shoot in terms of what to wear and suggestions. This was perfect given that the first few days after having a baby can be a bit of a whirlwind. We have already recommended her to others and will definitely return in the future.
